I had a blast participating in
Inktober again this year! Here are all the drawings I did this month. I did not follow any prompts… I find it hard to draw every day if I don’t indulge my own flights of fancy!
Shared the day before, letting everyone know what’s up!
A baby skunk and flower, the latter colored with
Uni-Posca paint pens.
It’s not Inktober till you’ve drawn a cute witch, right?
An unexpectedly jolly
Greedo. Drawn after seeing Rob Bredow speak at Design Vancouver.
Just a couple of egg-laying mammals.
Ristar, titular protagonist of an underrated Sega Genesis platformer.
A Monday monster.
My “sophisticated” writing process in action.
Gato Roboto! Great indie game.
Whale hello there!
Madman will always be one of my very favorite comics.
Easily my least favorite drawing of the month, an attempt at the mayor from Nightmare Before Christmas on medium-value paper.
Drowned Ophelia, drawn for Brütal Legend’s tenth anniversary.
Kappa are amphibious yōkai from Japanese folklore. They grow weak if they spill the water from the indent in their head.
Maybe some ghosts just aren’t feeling it this Halloween?
It was extremely Oregon outside this day.
Smaller monsters have a much lower chance of being chased out of town with torches and pitchforks.
Mario tries to get a life 🍄
A spooky jack o’lantern.
A rare grounded appearance of
my last game’s protagonist.
I started playing the remastered Ghostbusters game. I forgot how much I missed this little onion head!
A chance encounter.
I drew thrice on this workday. First Sonic the Hedgehog…
…then a square-ish, pondering businessman…
…and finally, a manic self-portrait.
An unpleasant face.
Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.
I was as invested as the rest of the internet in
Cinderblock’s weight loss journey.
Now he’s playing with power!
Everyone’s favorite pointy boy, he is the night and vengeance also.
Wrapped up Inktober with an iconic movie monster!
